Hague camcorder stabilizer

Has anyone had experience of using the Hague Camcorder Stabilizer. It seems to be the cheapest "steadicam" system available. It looks a lot like the Glidecam 2000, which has had a lot of positive reviews, better than the steadicam jr, which I've heard has a tendency to break.

Any input would be much appreaciated.

yes i own a Hague Camcorder Stabiliser HCS3 -
right there are a couple of pointers here
(1)
dont expect to get very smooth steadicam type shots the first time you use it, there are a few techniques that you must adopt to use it properly, it takes practice and a lot of running up and down your street or corridoor at college;
(a) Bend z knees - keep your body posture low and try to absorb as much of your shaking with your legs and arms.
(b) one thing i found that you need to hold the handle in one hand (obviously) but hold the copper ball joint, just above the handle, and use it to stop the camera from tilting all over the place, use it as a directional tool to point the camera at stuff.. dont worry holding it wont make the camera shake! if you adopt these techniques and develop your own you will have a powerfull peice of kit

dont expect a very technical piece of kit, as the camcorder stabiliser is just bits of metal and a ball / socket joint
(3)watch The Shining a few times to get tips on how to use it effectively - i used it in a chase sequence with a semi fisheye lens for a pov of the 'bully' running down a corridoor connotating a smooth calculated attack, then took it off the stabliser for a pov for the vicitm making the shot shake to connotate insability.... bugger im giving away all my tips here and going on a bit so ill stop... best of luck
